2016 edition

From June 27 to June 30 in Paris

Atoms for the Future is the annual event organized in Paris by the French Nuclear Society Young Generation Network.

This group gathers about 550 students and young professionals around the same passion for nuclear energy.

Several actions to improve our general knowledge on nuclear and develop our network are carried such as top management interviews, presentation of the nuclear industry in schools, casual meetings, exhanges with international networks… Among our actions, the organization of Atoms for the Future is key. Since 2010, it gathers students and young professionals from the nuclear industry coming from all over the world.

In 2014, the event gathered 220 participants from 16 different countries around “Design, Licensing and Construction of NPPs“. The two days of lectures welcomed EDF, AREVA, CEA, REEL, Assystem, Sofinel… The participants had the opportunity to visit the EPR construction site of Flamanville and the AREVA facilities of Saint-Marcel and Creusot Forge

Time in nuclear energy

For the 2016 edition, “Time in nuclear energy” has been chosen for the general theme of the event in order to understand the need for this industry to adapt to very different time scales: from milliseconds for neutronics to millions of years for waste management.

From June 27 to June 30, you will have the opportunity to attend high level lectures, technical sessions prepared by young PhD or researchers, technical visits and networking event. You will also have the opportunity to attend freely the second edition of the World Nuclear Exhibition.
